Description

Rhyming Spin It Activity is a hands-on rhyming game that teaches students to identify rhyming words and strengthens their phonological awareness skills. In this activity, students will spin a spinner to pick a rhyming word. Then, they will identify other rhyming words and place a manipulative on the board.

Rhyming games are a fun way for students to develop a strong phonological awareness by rhyming and identifying word families. The developmental sequence is that students will first repeat rhymes, then be able to identify if a word rhymes, and then be able to generate rhyming words on their own.

These are perfect for morning tubs, literacy tubs, small groups, early finishers, table time, arrival activities, or center activities.
