Description

Rhyming Yes or No Game is a hands-on rhyming activity that teaches students to identify rhyming words and strengthen their phonological awareness skills. Students will say the two words, determine if the words rhyme, and then mark yes or no with a clothespin.

In this activity, students will use clothespins so students will build their phonological awareness and strengthen their fine motor muscles simultaneously!

Rhyming games are a fun way for students to develop a strong phonological awareness by rhyming and identifying word families. The developmental sequence is that students will first repeat rhymes, then be able to identify if a word rhymes, and then be able to generate rhyming words on their own.

These are perfect for morning tubs, literacy tubs, small groups, early finishers, table time, arrival activities, or center activities.
