Alphabet Chains are a fun, hands-on alphabet game! Students will learn through play to practice identifying uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and letter sounds. This was created for preschool, pre-k, TK, and kindergarten classrooms.

This game is perfect for morning tubs, literacy tubs, small groups, early finishers, table time, arrival activities, center activities, letter table, or letter of the week. These alphabet games are not seasonal or holiday-specific, so your students can play them anytime during the year!

How to Play: Students identify the letter, say the letter name, and letter sound. Then find the matching cards and link them together with chains. Lastly, students read the letter chain cards after they linked them together.

Low Prep! Print, laminate, and cut out the cards. Then use a hole punch to make the holes. Put a sticker or write a number on the back of the correct answer so students can self-check (optional). That’s it! Easy for you, engaging for your students!
