Description

Reading logs are a great way to encourage reading at home! My preschoolers are always asking for “preschool homework” and this is what I give them. It is so simple just print, copy, and send home! At the beginning of each month I send home a new reading log for that month. You can choose to have students bring the logs back to school if you wish. The first month I send the reading logs home, I attach the “Reading at Home” parent note. The parent letter has reading and comprehension strategies, strategies to help their child develop as a reader, tips for making a reading nook, a list of ideas to make reading an adventure, and a list of media they can read other than books! These reading logs were created with preschool, pre-k, or kindergarten classrooms in mind.
