Students are fascinated with Earth and space science, and frankly, so am I! I have gathered up my favorite books for the science units that fit into the Earth and space science category. I think it is important to add Earth and space science books that are fiction and nonfiction texts to your science center, too, so you will find both on this list.

Earth and Space Science Books for Little Learners
Space, Sun, & Moon Science Unit
There are many topics you can investigate when learning all about space, like the planets in our solar system, the moon and its phases, the stars and constellations, day and night, and space exploration. Check out the science unit All About Space, Sun, and Moon HERE.
The real-life images in this nonfiction book are amazing! Students will learn about the different planets with the informative text in this title.
Gail Gibbons shares about the moon and all that it affects on Earth. It is really interesting and is sure to engage your students.
Take a peek at the stars and learn specifically about the Big Dipper and Little Dipper. My students are always in awe of the stars, and it is a theme that is super engaging.
