Apple Orchard Dramatic Play is a fun theme you can do in your pretend or dramatic play center during a apple theme, fall theme, or farm theme. This Apple Orchard Dramatic Play Unit is in my store and includes real classroom photos showing how to set up your apple orchard in your dramatic play center.
Just print the labels, signs, and make the props. The first time you set it up it does take time but the next year you have all the props ready to go. This theme integrates social, math, language, literacy, math, and fine motor all into their play! This is a theme/unit designed for a preschool, pre-k, or kindergarten classroom. I used it in my multi-age preschool classroom with 3, 4, and 5 year olds.

Make apple trees for a STEM challenge! We did this activity for an arrival table time activity. I placed green popsicle sticks of various sizes, green pattern block triangles, apple mini erasers, and markers (red, green, and brown) on the tray in the middle of each table, along with a Sketch blueprint and cardboard tube at each seat. Each student made his or her own apple tree and then sketched a picture of it. The sketch is a perfect addition to students’ portfolios. Take a photo of each tree and glue it to their sketch page.

Apple letter activity! Pretend the black beans are

Apple letter activity! Pretend the black beans are apple seeds, and students can build the letter with the apple seeds and then trace it with a dry-erase marker. Plus, building letters with those little beans is also strengthening those fingers and wrists too!
I like to introduce this activity at small group then use it as an arrival or dismissal table time activity. You can also keep this letter formation activity at the writing table or fine motor center.

This apple tree butcher paper activity is super easy to prep and a ton of fun for preschool and pre-K students!
It is a giant color sorting game that gets students up and moving! Draw three trees on butcher paper with a bingo dabber (ours had Inda ink in it) and write the color words on each tree. Then students sort the apple manipulatives by color: pom poms, stackable counters, and for stickers.
