Song Cards are just what you need to add more movement to your day! My favorite way to use these song cards is during music and movement, transition, or a brain break. There are endless reasons to incorporate songs and music into our classrooms. Add Music and Movement to your daily schedule, and students will learn through music: oral language, phonemic awareness and phonological awareness, various math concepts, social skills, and so much more!
Place the song cards in a pocket chart, on a metal ring, on a felt board, make song sticks, or add magnets to the back and use on your teacher easel. Pick a strategy to use the song choice cards in your classroom. Use CDs, YouTube, or a music streaming service to find the songs to play. Students can pick what song to do next!
Gross motor is vital to child development! Gross motor movement is the movement and usage of the large muscles in the body; think shoulders, core, legs, upper arms, neck, etc. Students need to move and develop their gross motor muscles to help their fine motor muscles (small muscles) develop.
Prep: Print, laminate, and cut out the cards. Place on a book ring.
