Physical science is the study of the nonliving things in the world and states of matter. I have put together my favorite physical science books for preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten students to get an introduction into this amazing scientific category.

Physical Science Books
Force and Motion
Learning about force and motion can be a fun science theme for your students. You could talk about how things move, push and pull, and acceleration. Check out the Force & Motion Science Unit.

This book is full of hands-on activities to do with your students. It also has tons of facts about physical science and physics—a great book to explore the whys of motion and force.

Children love to build and construct things, so why not teach them about building at your science center? This is a great theme if you want to focus on STEM skills, too. Grab the All About Building Science Unit to get started.
